Is The Last of Us on Amazon?

If you’re in the mood for a zombie series, you’ll want to check out the upcoming series The Last of Us. Is it going to stream on Amazon?

Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal team up for The Last of Us. This is perfect for The Walking Dead fans. The series focuses on a world that is post-zombie-like outbreak, and these two strangers need to work together if they want to survive. They become connected through the harsh realities of their new world as they fight to survive.

It is based on a 2013 action-adventure game by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Players get to control Joel and Ellie, the two main characters in the series, as Joel tries to get teenage Ellie across the United States.

Is The Last of Us on Prime Video?

The first big question for us to answer is whether you can watch the series on Prime Video. That is sadly not possible. This is a HBO series.

HBO is no longer one of the Amazon Channels, so there isn’t even an option to watch that way. You’ll need to turn to HBO or HBO Max.

Of course, with how HBO shows are going, there’s a chance that it could end up leaving the platform for an ad-supported streamer similar to the treatment of Westworld and The Nevers. That could open the door for Freevee to get it. That’s just me being a bit salty, though.

Is The Last of Us on Amazon Video?

What about buying the show on Digital? That isn’t possible just yet. The series will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 15, and there won’t be the option to buy the episodes until sometime after the full season has aired. HBO isn’t consistent with the release time frames.

The good news is that it should eventually be available on Digital. Once it is, you may want to buy the episodes. This way they’ll be added to your Amazon Library and will remain there for as long as you have your Amazon account.

The Last of Us premieres on Sunday, Jan. 15 on HBO.
