The last full week of December didn’t see anything new join the list of most read Amazon books. It did see the Harry Potter books move back up the list, though.

With the week starting with Christmas Day, it’s not surprising to see nothing new on the list of most read Amazon books. This is the time of year that many people slow down in their reading efforts. After all, there’s so much to do with Christmas and then the New Year.

That doesn’t mean nothing was read. It just explains why nothing new joined the list for the week. The movement was books between themselves, and the Harry Potter books were the ones moving up the list the most.

Harry Potter up, Craig Alanson down

The Top 3 saw a small change. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling got back into second place after moving up two spots. Order of the Phoenix moved down just one spot, claiming third place. It meant The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham was knocked out of the Top 3.

Further down the list, there was a lot more movement. Prisoner of Azkaban is attempting to get back into the Top 10. It gained one spot to get into 12th place, and there’s plenty of time for it to continue moving up the list.

The Harry Potter books weren’t the biggest movers, though. Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver gained three places to get into 11th place, while The Perfect Marriage by Jevena Rose gained four spots just narrowly missing out on a spot in the Top 15.

Failure Mode by Craig Alanson lost the most spots. It dropped six places into 17th place. Zodiac Academy 8 by Carline Peckham and Susanne Valenti dropped three places in its second week on the list.
