DVD releases happening this week: Halloween Ends and more

The last Tuesday of 2022 sees a small selection of movies and shows heading to DVD and Blu-ray. Here’s a look at all the DVD releases this week.

While many people are getting ready to see 2023, there are still a few days left of 2022. One of those is the day the DVD and Blu-ray releases happening. There are a few options available to buy on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

One of those is the horror movie Halloween Ends. It’s supposed to be the last of the franchise. We all know what these horror franchises are like, though. Do they ever come to a complete end? Well, maybe with this one depending on how things end for Laurie and Michael.

The Staircase, Ancient Aliens, and more

If you’re looking for a dramatized version of a true story, you’ll want to turn to The Staircase. This limited series aired on HBO Max, and now it’s coming to DVD and Blu-ray. More and more HBO Max shows are coming to DVD, and it’s probably a good idea to grab them considering what’s happening with content on the streamer.

The series stars Colin Firth as a man accused of murdering his wife when she dies in a fall down the stairs. What did happen to his wife? What were the events leading up to the accident? That’s what everyone wants to know.

Prefer to learn more about aliens that may have visited Earth in the past? Ancient Aliens has taken us through the possibilities for years, now. It’s time to see the 16th season of the History series. All episodes are available on DVD and Blu-ray.

If that’s not enough, you can grab Father of the Bride on DVD. No, not the OG movie. It’s all about the newer one that came to HBO Max recently. Again, you have no idea how long it’s going to stay on HBO Max, so it could be worth buying the DVD.
