Is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s the sequel we’ve all been waiting for. Knives Out 2 is finally out in theaters. The official title is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and apart from Daniel Craig, it has an all-new cast. This looks to be the theme for the movie franchise in the future, which is a great way to bring us fresh stories and keep things semi-realistic.

With the movie out in theaters, you’re likely wondering when it will come to DVD. The more appropriate question is whether it will come to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. This movie is distributed by Netflix.

Will Glass Onion come to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s hard to say yes or no to this question. Netflix doesn’t traditionally release its content on physical disc. There are some movies that do get the DVD treatment, though. We’ve seen the likes of A Marriage Story and The Irishman head to DVD and Blu-ray.

It’s usually the movies that get a theatrical release that end up with a DVD release. That does suggest that this Daniel Craig movie could get the same treatment.

For those who have the first Knives Out movie on DVD, it makes sense for Netflix to release it. This could have been written into the contracts when Netflix won the bid to distribute it. After all, it is a Lionsgate movie still.

While we may see a DVD release, we probably won’t see a Digital release. At least a DVD release doesn’t take everyone away from Netflix. Some people prefer to be able to watch on the go. The Digital release is the bigger competition, so Netflix may stop at that one.
