The Boys Season 4 is not coming in 2022

With the way things ended in Season 3, we are ready to see The Boys Season 4. There is some bad news for those hoping for a Christmas miracle.

If there is one Amazon show we’re excited to see more of, it’s The Boys. This diabolical series brings us a twist on superheroes that we need. On top of that, it’s highly entertaining, and perfect for those who suffer from superhero fatigue because of how different it is.

We know the fourth season is happening. It didn’t take too long after the premiere of Season 3 for Amazon to renew it. So, work could get started pretty quickly. Filming has even started. However, this is where we have the bad news.

This is not a series that will arrive in 2022. What are the chances of it premiering in 2023?

When will The Boys Season 4 come to Prime Video?

As of right now, Amazon hasn’t told us when the new season will arrive. This isn’t too surprising with filming still underway. Amazon won’t want to commit to a month or even a season right now. This could lead to needing to push the release back, which would then disappoint fans.

We can still make a guess based on how long it usually takes shows like this. Outside of the pandemic year, most shows like this took between 14 and 18 months between seasons. For shows that are released weekly, this is often based on the premiere date, so we could see something as early as August 2023.

We’re probably going to see the season in 2023 at some point. It could be toward the end of the year, though. It does take at least eight months for post-production for a series like this. With filming still going on, we could be looking at a late fall 2023 release date.
