Is Disenchanted coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

Disenchanted is currently available to stream on Disney+. Will the Enchanted sequel arrive on DVD and Blu-ray?

You have Enchanted on DVD from back in the day. Now you want to add the sequel to your collection. Of course, you could turn to Disney+ to watch it, but there’s nothing better than having sequels with their originals on your DVD shelves.

This is certainly a sequel you’ll want to watch. Giselle has been happily married for 10 years since she got her happily ever after. The question is whether she really can be happy forever. What happens when she casts a spell that goes horribly wrong? Can she save her family before the clock strikes midnight?

So, what’s the plan for this movie? Is there a chance it will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray?

Disenchanted DVD release predictions

It’s hard to say what Disney will do with this movie. As it’s a streaming-only movie, the gut says that it won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray. After all, other streaming platforms don’t tend to release their original content on disc. Even Disney has some content that is completely exclusive to Disney+.

However, this is a sequel to a popular Disney movie. There will be a lot of people calling out for the release, and Walt Disney movies do tend to get the DVD treatment. We could see this one getting that same treatment.

If it is the case, then we’re looking at probably around three months after the release, so around the middle of February at the earliest.

What about a Digital release? This is trickier? It means people are likely to pay once for the movie instead of getting a subscription so they can watch on the go without a DVD player. There are chances that Disney will skip this type of release for this Disney+ Original Movie.
