If you’re in the mood for a comedy, you’ll want to check out The People We Hate at the Wedding on Prime Video. What is the new movie about?

It’s all about quality over quantity when it comes to Amazon releases this week. The People We Hate at the Wedding is the big release of the week. Based on the novel of the same name by Grant Ginder, it drops on Prime Video at the end of the week.

The movie has a great comedic cast. Kristen Bell and Ben Platt star as Alice and Paul, while Allison Janney stars as their mom Donna. Cynthia Addai-Robinson stars as Alice and Paul’s half-sister Eloise.

Before you jump into the movie, you’ll want to make sure it’s for you. What is this comedy about?

The People We Hate at the Wedding synopsis

The movie follows two siblings, Alice and Paul. They get an invite to their half-sister’s wedding, and they really don’t want to go. It turns out they don’t like Eloise, but they decide to head off to the wedding anyway.

It’s across the waters in England, and they head over there with their mom, Donna. Of course, since they don’t exactly like their half-sister, they’re not that bothered about acting the way they probably should around strangers in a new country. That’s probably why the promo for the movie opens with Alice, Paul, and Donna all in a jail cell. Oops!

Skeletons are about to come out of closets. This dysfunctional family is going to attempt to remain separate from each other as much as possible, and you have to question why Eloise would even consider inviting them to her wedding considering the fact that they just don’t get along.
