Is Mammals renewed for Season 2?

Amazon has brought us a dark comedy in the form of Mammals. You’ve binged the whole first season, and now you want more. Will there be a Season 2?

James Corden stars as a Michelin-star chef in this new British comedy series. He has a standout cast joining him, and it comes from the mind of Jez Butterworth. All of this is going to pull you into the first season.

Of course, we’ve been burned by a lot of cancellations lately. The last thing you want is to enjoy a show, get to a cliffhanger ending, and then find out there not going to be a continuation to the tale. You want to know it’s renewed before you start watching.

Then there’s the chance that you already started watching. Now you want to know if the story will be continued. Is Mammals Season 2 going to happen at Prime Video? Is the new series cancelled?

Is Mammals Season 2 happening?

As of right now, Amazon has not renewed or cancelled the series. In a way, this is a good thing. At least we don’t have a cancellation on our hands. We know that there is still hope that the show will be renewed.

Amazon will want to see how the show performs before renewing it. This means giving it at least the weekend to see what the uptick is like. It’s only shows that are very likely to be a success that get early renewals, such as The Summer I Turned Pretty. Many other shows are renewed afterward.

It’s not clear how long it could take Amazon to make a decision. Shows like Reacher and The Boys were renewed within days and weeks of the premieres. Then we had Outer Range and Upload, which took months to score renewals. Amazon isn’t consistent with its decisions.
