Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer star in The English, an upcoming Amazon series. Is it suitable for kids? What is The English age rating?
We all love a good Western. Amazon is bringing one at the end of the week, and it’s certainly worth paying attention to. Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer star in The English.
It officially drops on Friday, Nov. 11. However, we know what global originals are like. We tend to get them earlier in North America, and this opens the door for a Thursday night release. Look out as early as 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT for this release.
Now you just need to know whether it’s something to watch with the kids around, or whether you’ll need to wait for them to go to bed to watch. You’ll want to know The English age rating to get an idea of what to expect.
The English age rating
The series hasn’t been officially rated since it’s not yet out. It’s not on the IMDb page at the time of writing this. However, we can make a guess based on the promo for the series.
We’re looking at a TV-MA rating for the Emily Blunt series. We’re sure to see violence, foul language, and maybe some drug use considering the time period this series is set in. After all, it’s about a woman on the hunt for revenge, and a Pawnee man looking to get his ancesteral land back. There’s going to be violence. They both choose that.
It’s always worth watching the first episode of a new series without the kids unless it’s been specifically written for them. This helps to avoid uncomfortable or scary moments for them. You can also use your own judgement based on the type of shows your kids watch anyway. If they watch Yellowstone, they’ll likely be fine watching this Western.
The English is coming to Prime Video on Friday, Nov. 11.
