All Harry Styles fans are turning to Prime Video right now. His movie, My Policeman, is finally available to stream. It’s been available for less than a week now, but you may not want to keep your Prime Video subscription forever just to be able to watch it.

You want to watch it at home whenever you want. That means looking for it on DVD and Blu-ray. Is this period-set movie going to head to DVD in the future?

Will My Policeman be on DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s very hard to say what’s going to happen with this release. It has done the festival circuit, which helps to secure a DVD release date. However, it is still an Amazon movie, and that’s going to affect things for the potential DVD release.

Amazon won’t want to take exclusive content away from its streamer. That would mean losing money. The best option is to make sure Amazon Original content remains as exclusive as possible. It’s why we don’t see a lot of movies and TV shows get DVD and Blu-ray releases.

However, we have seen some positive news. There have been a few movies that have headed to DVD at some point. That does mean we could see this Harry Styles movie head to DVD and Blu-ray at some point in the future. It’s not going to be for a while, though. We’re looking at it taking around 12 months at least to keep the content exclusive to Amazon for as long as possible.

What we don’t expect to see is a Digital release. There’s no need for Amazon to make it possible to watch the movie online easily without a subscription.
