When is Prey for the Devil coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s Halloween weekend, and that means you’re looking for horror movies to watch. Prey for the Devil is the theatrical release this weekend.

As you would expect based on the title, it takes place with the Roman Catholic Church as a background. The global rise of demonic possessions has led to schools reopening to train priests in performing exorcisms. Nuns are forbidden from this ritual, but when a professor sees that Sister Ann has the gift, he decides to train her.

And so, she’s sent to the frontlines to save the people possessed by demons. When one girl is possessed by the same demon that tormented Sister Ann’s mother years earlier, Sister Ann takes this case personally.

Prey for the Devil DVD release date predictions

As the movie has only just come out in theaters, it’s not yet received a DVD and Blu-ray release date. We can look at other movies from the same production studios, and we’re turning to movies from Lionsgate for this one. In this case, we’re looking at Moonfall and Clerks III.

It took about two and a half months for the two movies to go from theaters to DVD. With that in mind, we’re looking at the same length of time for Prey for the Devil, which means around the middle of January 2023. The only reason it would be released a little earlier is if Lionsgate wants to capture on the Christmas buying season or the post-Christmas sales.

What about on Digital? It took a month for Clerks III to head to Digital, but two months for Moonfall. We’re likely looking at the latter for this release, so we’re looking at the end of December.
