In a world where technology has advanced substantially, Flynne realizes that the virtual world may not be so virtual in The Peripheral. Is this a series to watch with the kids around, or should you wait for them to go to bed?

The time is almost here to see Flynne fight to save the world. When she sees a murder happen in the virtual world, she realizes that it may have been real. Now she needs to figure out who was responsible while keeping her and her brother safe.

This is certainly a series you’ll want to watch as soon as it’s out. The episodes come out weekly, so there’s one each Friday to check out until December. The question is whether you’ll need to wait for the kids to go to bed or not. What is The Peripheral age rating?

The Peripheral age rating

As the series has not yet been released, there isn’t an official age rating to work with. However, we’re looking at this series likely being TV-MA. This is the same as it being an R-rated movie, meaning it’s aimed at those 18 and over.

The Peripheral is based on the novel of the same name. That particular novel was written for adult audiences in mind. It’s more for 18 and up, although some older teenagers may have read it. So, if you think the book is suitable for your children, then the TV series may be too.

As it’s released weekly, this is perfect for you to check as the parent. You can watch the first episode once it drops without the kids around. If you think they can handle the storylines, then it’s up to you whether they watch it with you or not.

There is going to be a lot of violence and gore in this series. You can also expect some language, drinking, and drugs.
