What is Catherine Called Birdy about?

Bella Ramsey stars as Lady Catherine, also known as Birdy. Set in medieval England, she is the only daughter of a financially destitute lord. The only way for her family to get out of financial trouble is for Catherine to be married off, and that’s something her greedy father is considering.

The bad news for him is that Catherine has no intention of getting married. Filled with her teenage spirit, she does everything she can to push off all potential suitors. For the most part, it seems to work, and then the vilest of all suitors arrives.

Now Catherine will need to see if her parents’ love is enough to save her. Will they choose her over their money? Is that even an option in medieval England? We’re about to see in the movie, and it has an all-star cast to get us even more excited for the release.

The great thing about this release is it has a PG-13 age rating. This is one to watch with the whole family.
