As House of the Dragon continues to impress, it’s not surprising to see Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin move up the list of most read Amazon books.

One thing that House of the Dragon does that makes people want to read the book is time jumps. We just had a 10-year time jump between Episodes 5 and 6, so of course, people were going to turn to the books. What did fans miss in the story in that decade?

Thanks to that, the number of people reading Fire & Blood went up throughout the week. The book gained four spots on the list, moving back into the Top 10. With another small time jump coming, could we see the book move up again?

Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and more

It wasn’t the only book to move up the list. The Fellowship of the Ring also gained two spots. This is despite the J.R.R. Tolkien book not having anything to do with the new Lord of the Rings series. However, there are suspicions that some of the characters we’re getting to know are characters from the books, so it’s not surprising that fans are rereading the books to look for clues.

Some of the Harry Potter books also moved up. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix gained a spot, pushing Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens down a spot. Meanwhile, The Goblet of Fire gained two spots on the list, getting back into the Top 5. Will it get into the Top 3 this week?

The Ink Black Heart by Robert Galbraith did move down two spots, getting knocked out of the Top 5. He Who Fights with Monsters 7 by Shirtaloon & Travis Deverell saw the biggest drop, losing six places during the week.
