There’s a new movie coming to Prime Video this week. It’s all about My Best Friend’s Exorcism, but what is the story of this Amazon Original Movie?

If you’re a fan of horror, you’ll be excited about what th eend of September brings. One of the releases is My Best Friend’s Exorcism starring Elsie Fisher and Amiah Miller. It is based on the book of the same name by Grady Hendrix, so if you want to get an idea of what to expect, that’s what you need to read.

There seem to be a few small changes to the book in the movie, though. At least, that’s what I spot in the trailer. What about the bulk of the story, though? What is My Best Friend’s Exorcism about?

My Best Friend’s Exorcism synopsis

The new movie follows Abby and Gretchen. They’ve been inseparable since the fourth grade, but now things take a turn in their sophomore year of high school. After a night of skinny dipping with a couple of friends, something happens to Gretchen. When she returns to her friends, she starts to act different.

She’s moody, and she starts to turn her friends away from Abby. Abby is sure that something happened that night of the party, so she decides to do some digging. She never expected for it to actually involve an exorcism.

Now Abby needs to find people who believe her. Is a friendship strong enough to go up against the devil? Can Abby find a way to save her best friend, or will this lead to a devastating end? You’ll need to watch the movie to find out how it all plays out.
