Can you believe I Know What You Did Last Summer is turning 25 this year? Sony Pictures is marking the occasion with a special DVD release.
There are some 1990s horror movies that will always stand out. I Know What You Did Last Summer is one of them. It’s a favorite for many, especially fans of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Can you believe it’s been 25 years since the release, though? The movie came out in October 1997, and there’s no way Sony Pictures could allow the anniversary to go by without doing something special.
I Know What You Did Last Summer 25th anniversary DVD
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing a 25th-anniversary version of the DVD. It’s in 4K, Blu-ray, and Digital.
We’ve been able to get the Digital copy for a while. However, the movie wasn’t released on the higher-quality physical discs. That’s all about to change.
The official release date is Tuesday, Sept. 27, so there isn’t too long to wait for it. You can even pre-order the 4K version of I Know What You Did Last Summer right now if you want. This is a great way to secure Amazon’s price guarantee and set and forget the release for later this month.
What about the sequels? They aren’t being released in 4K. At least, not yet. There is always a chance they will be when it comes to their 25th anniversaries, but we all know that it’s the first I Know What You Did Last Summer movie that is the standout.
