What is Goodnight Mommy about?

Goodnight Mommy is the latest Amazon Movie heading to Prime Video. What is this thriller about, and is it worth the watch?

If you’re looking for a thriller, look no further than Prime Video this week. Goodnight Mommy drops at the end of the week.

It stars Naomi Watts, Cameron Crovetti, and Nicholas Crovetti. Yes, Cameron is well-known to Prime Video fans. He plays Ryan in The Boys and has been upped to series regular for the fourth season. He’s turning dark side on that series, but we’ll get to see a “lighter” side to him during this movie.

Before you jump into the thriller, you’ll want to get a chance to see what it’s about. The movie is based on the 2014 Austrian movie. In fact, it’s a remake of the Austrian movie.

Goodnight Mommy synopsis

The movie follows twin boys who head back home after their mom has facial surgery. Her face is now covered in bandages, but they’re ready to help her get back on her feet. Things aren’t going to well, though.

When their mom starts acting strangely, the two boys wonder if their mom is really there mom. What if someone else has taken her place? What if there’s another woman under the bandages? The two will need to figure things out as they protect themselves from any harm that could come.

Naomi Watts plays the mother, while Peter Herrmann plays the father. The Crovetti twins will play the brothers who feel like something is wrong.

The movie will drop on Prime Video on Friday, Sept. 16. As this is a global release, we’re looking at it happening a little bit earlier, and potentially getting it at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 15.
