The Wheel of Time Season 2 is not coming in September 2022

We continue to wait to see what’s next for our favorites in The Wheel of Time Season 2. When will the premiere air on Prime Video?

There are a few shows that we’re excited to see more of. The Wheel of Time is one of them, but there is some bad news. The second season was nowhere on the list of September releases on Prime Video.

Of course, that wasn’t surprising. We had no inclination that the season would arrive this month. In fact, there’s no way Amazon would release The Wheel of Time Season 2 during the same month of The Lord of the Rings. It doesn’t make sense to release two of the biggest shows in the same month.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?

So, eyes are on when we could see this second season. There is another reason we weren’t expecting it this month. It’s all about when filming wrapped.

Production was completed back in May 2022. It takes a good six to eight months at least for a show like this to get through post-production. That’s taking us to November 2022 at the earliest for the season to be ready, but we’re looking more at the beginning of 2023 instead. This would make sense to start the new year with a bang.

It does usually take around 14 months between seasons. With the first season arriving in November of 2021, we were looking at January 2023 for the new season to premiere. Everything seems to be falling into place for that.

There is little news about the second season. All we know right now is that there will be a third, and the early renewal will help to keep the wait for that to a minimum. However, we’re probably looking at 2024 for that season.
