What is Flight/Risk about?
The documentary takes us back to late 2018 and early 2019. It was the time two Boeing 737 Max planes crashed within months of each other without anyone really understanding why. This was certainly a traumatic event for everyone, and it led to an outcry to take down the planes and look at what was going on.
The documentary isn’t just about the events that happened. It’s a look at the aftermath, with elements told from the perspective of the family members affected by the crash, the legal teams involved, and the whistleblowers who helped everyone get to the bottom of the situation.
Pulitzer-winning Seattle Times journalist Dominic Gates takes us through the events. If you do want to know more about the events and how we now have the Boeing 737 Max back in the air, this is the documentary for you. However, there may be some traumatic footage for some people.
The episode is set to drop at midnight UK time on Friday, Sept. 9. This could mean a release as early as 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 8 in North America.
