Minions: The Rise of Gru is just one of the big DVD releases happening this week. Take a look at everything coming to DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 6.

The first Tuesday of September is kicking off a great month for DVD releases. There will be something for everyone throughout the month, and this first Tuesday makes that clear.

The biggest release is Minions: The Rise of Gru. The announcement of the DVD release came late, so you likely didn’t get a chance to pre-order it. However, you’ll be able to place your order right away for it to arrive this Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Chicago PD Season 9, NCIS: Hawaii Season 1, and more

There are a lot of TV shows arriving on DVD and Blu-ray this week. The first is Chicago PD Season 9. It picks up off the back of the Season 8 finale, with questions about what Upton and Voight will do in the aftermath of killing Roy. Halstead ends up finding out, but how does he take the entire situation? Meanwhile, how does it all affect Burgess, who nearly died in Season 8?

If you want a new drama to check out, NCIS: Hawaii arrived last fall. It’s time to get the first season on DVD. It stars Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant, the first female lead of the NCIS series. She’s ready to take names and gain justice.

For the comedy fans out there, Young Sheldon Season 5 is the release to look out for. This continues the story of Sheldon Cooper as he enters university at a young age. How will he cope with people so much older than him?

How about a period comedy? Mis Harris Goes to Paris is the one to check out. This movie follows Mrs. Ada Harris, a widowed housekeeper in 1950s London. She’s intent on owning a Christian Dior dress, and she will make sure that happens no matter what.
