It’s been a long wait, but The Lord of the Rings series premiere is almost here. What time can you stream Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power?

Can you believe it’s been almost five years since The Lord of the Rings series was ordered by Amazon? This is a series that has taken a long time to develop, but judging by the graphics in the trailer, it’s going to be worth the wait.

The good news is the wait is almost over. The Rings of Power will premiere this weekend. The show is getting a weekly release, so you’ll need to wait until October to binge-watch all the episodes. However, we do start with a two-episode drop.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power release time

Amazon has given us the exact times that the episodes will drop each week. This isn’t normal. We usually work with a midnight GMT release time, meaning the North American drop can be up to midnight the day before.

The Lord of the Rings series premiere will drop earlier than initially expected. Amazon has confirmed that the first two episodes will drop at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Thursday, Sept. 1. This is a little later than we sometimes see shows drop, but 9 p.m. ET is starting to become a common release time.

After that, the series will release a little later. We’ll have to wait until midnight ET on the Friday. That means 9 p.m. PT on the Thursday nights.

The final episode will air on Friday, Oct. 14 on Prime Video. We’re then hoping to see something like Carnival Row Season 2 or Jack Ryan Season 3 to follow!
