Good Omens Season 2 is not coming in September 2022

We would love nothing more than to see our favorite angel and demon working together. When will Good Omens Season 2 come to Prime Video?

At first, we thought it would just be a limited series. Then Good Omens landed a second season, and now we’re ready to see it. The bad news is the list of Prime Video releases in September is out, and this isn’t a series on the list.

That’s not all too surprising. Amazon isn’t going to just add this series quietly. It’s a huge release for the streamer, so we’ll get a premiere date before the list of show releases.

When will Good Omens Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We don’t yet have a premiere date. It’s not even going to be easy to guess a date. We know from Neil Gaiman that this series has a long post-production process. It could be early 2023 that we get the season.

If Good Omens Season 2 is going to arrive in 2022, it’s going to be toward the end of the year. We have The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power coming first. Then we’re hoping for Carnival Row Season 2. We’re sure that Amazon is going to want to space out its biggest content.

Could Season 2 be the last? That’s certainly likely considering there wasn’t even initially going to be a second season. The story is based on the unfinished sequel to Good Omens. Gaiman wasn’t going to complete it after Sir Terry Pratchett’s death, but he has decided to turn it into a second season for the Amazon show.

We’ll see Aziraphale and Crowley team up with a mystery. It’s not quite the apocalypse happening this time. If you need to see the two of them together, you can turn to The Sandman, which saw David Tennant and Michael Sheen together in a couple of surprise episodes.
