When will Gen V come to Prime Video?

All eyes are on The Boys college spin-off. Finally given the title Gen V, we’re ready to see what’s to come in the universe. If we thought The Seven were terrible, wait until we see what a group of hormonal Supes in college are like. This is going to be diabolical.

Of course, the question is when Gen V will premiere on Prime Video. We also want to know whether it’s going to be released as a binge-watch or a weekly release. Do we have any answers?

Gen V will probably premiere in 2023

As of right now, there isn’t a release date. According to Deadline, the current plans are to bring the college spin-off series to Prime Video in 2023. This makes sense as it will offer content during the wait for The Boys Season 4, which is likely to arrive on Prime Video at the end of 2023 at the very earliest. We could be looking at early 2024 for that one.

The exact date for the college spin-off will depend on a few factors. There may be some delays in filming, and not just for COVID reasons—which has still led to some protocols on film sets although not as many as during the height of the pandemic. There are always reasons filming could be put on hold, although this doesn’t happen that frequently. Just one example was Snowpiercer recently halting production in Vancouver due to extreme heat.

Prime Video won’t want to set too many dates in the future. While The Lord of the Rings series did get an early premiere date announcement, that was still a risk. We usually see release dates a month or two before the premiere.

Gen V is likely coming to Prime Video in 2023.
