And Just Like That… Season 1 DVD review
And Just Like That… Season 1 is now available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray. What will you get? Is it worth the buy? Here’s our DVD boxset review.
Fans of Sex and the City will be excited to hear that the revival series is a hit. It’s also getting a DVD release. In fact, in Canada, the DVD boxset is already available. It was released on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Just a note for those in the United States, the DVD release date has not yet been confirmed. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for that. This is only for Canadian buyers. Of course, you can head north of the border to get your copy!
What to expect on the And Just Like That… Season 1 DVD boxset?
You’ll get all 10 episodes of the season on the DVD and Blu-ray boxset. This covers the entire story that fans got to watch on Crave. (It’s on HBO in the United States and all HBO content goes to Crave thanks to a deal with Bell Media.)
This covers the story of Carrie and her friends after the initial story in Sex and the City. Where are our fabulous New Yorkers now? What happened to Mr. Big? Where is Samantha?
The downside to the release is the lack of bonus content. I’d have loved some behind-the-scenes commentaries or deleted scenes. Maybe even a gag reel would have been nice. Instead, we just get the episodes, which is the way a lot of boxsets are happening.
To be honest, the release is still worth it. We just have no idea what’s going to happen in the future to content. Just look at HBO Max removing some of the originals from its streamer. Nothing is safe, and it’s best to buy on DVD and Blu-ray so we always have access to our favorite shows.
