Streaming on Prime Video this week: Samaritan and more
Amazon is bringing two originals and some Amazon Channels samples this week. Let’s take a look at everything streaming on Prime Video throughout this week.
As we near the end of the month, the selection of new content on Prime Video does get a little thin. The great news is all that content that dropped on Aug. 1 is still available to stream. This is why there’s such a large drop during the start of the month.
There is still some great content worth checking out this week. With two new Amazon Originals, we certainly can’t go wrong.
Samaritan, Kevin Can F**k Himself, and more
Amazon hasn’t been that clear in how the Amazon Channels samples are working anymore. It used to be a collection would drop at the start of the month for that month only. It’s still only the first season, but the timings seem to have changed a little.
Kevin Can F**k Himself Season 2 is coming to AMC+ this week. That means the first season is available to sample on Prime Video. The idea is that you watch the first season and them immediately sign up for AMC+ via Amazon Channels to watch the second season.
If you’re waiting for the Amazon Originals, you’ll need to wait until the end of the week. Samaritan is the biggest release. The movie stars Sylvester Stallone and Javon Walton. Walon (Yes, Ash Tray from Euphoria) plays Sam Cleary, a 13-year-old who is sure that his reclusive neighbor, Mr. Smith, is more than a typical man.
It turns out that Mr. Smith is a legend hiding in plain sight. Samaritan was reported dead, but he is still alive. At least, that’s what Sam thinks, and now he needs to prove it.
The other Amazon release is Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby. The special is for the music fans out there. It follows Lil Baby’s career from the beginning, all the way to rising to the top.
