10 designers go up against each other to prove they have what it takes to be the next big name. Who are the hopefuls on Making the Cut Season 3?

Just like in previous seasons, we get to watch designers prove to the judges that they have what it takes to be successful in the business. They’ll go through a string of challenges during each episode, making it clear they can incorporate their style into whatever theme or need the judges set.

You’ll want to know who the 10 hopefuls are this season. Then it’s a case of following their journeys to see who will win Making the Cut Season 3.

Who are the designers in Making the Cut Season 3?

Ciara Chyanne Morgan

From Watts, LA, California, Ciara is a self-taughter designer who has done extended fashion courses at OTIS College of Art and Design and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She went to HBCU Tuskagee University for a degree in sales and marketing, which is sure to help her boost her business once she has won the competition.

Curtis Cassell

From Brooklyn, New York, Curtis is the founder of Queera. This is a nonbinary label, which he created in 2020 after attending Columbia College Chicago to study graphic design. He has also graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art with a degree in interior architecture. Even if he doesn’t win, this is surely a good opportunity to raise awareness for the brand he already has.

Emily Bargeron

From Savannah, Georgia, Emily designs for Mamie Ruth, a free-spirited fashion label. She also spends time at musical festivals and has her own vintage boutique called East + Up.

Gabriella Meyer

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Gabriella is now based in LA. She creates custom and readymade streetwear through DENIMCRATIC. All the material she uses is recycled, and she opts for novel denim techniques to stylise everything.

Georgia Hardinge

Not all of the designers for Making the Cut Season 3 are from the United States. Georgia is from London, England, and she has traveled extensively to help create an international style. She also trained at Parsons Paris/The New School, where she won best designer for her collection upon graduation.

Jeanette Limas

Born in the Dominican Republic, Jeanette now lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She initially studied patternmaking at the Mercy Jacuez Institute, and then went onto the School for the Arts, Altos de Chavón to continue her studies.

Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert

Another non-American is Markantoine from Montreal, Canada, although he was originally from Shawinigan, Quebec and has been in LA for a while. He has brought the skatewear brand MRKNTN to life.

Rafael Chaouiche

Rafael is from Curitiba, Brazil, and he wants to create a career in his own country. The brand has been inspired by strong women, and he uses a mixture of colors and fabrics with sculptural cuts to create bold designs.

Sienna Li

Born in China, Sienna now lives in New York. She has been featured in the likes of Vogue Italia, L’OFFCIEL, and Harper’s Bazaar for her work, and she works full-time as a fashion designer in the Big Apple.

Yannik Zamboni

Yannick comes from Zurick, Switzerland, and is the last of the 10 designers on Making the Cut Season 3. He focuses on brand sustainability, which means ensuring everything he does is ethical, moral, ecological, economical, and socio-political.
