There are some new Amazon Originals heading to Prime Video this week. However, Sonic 2 will be the big release for families this week.
There are some great releases on Prime Video throughout this week. For those with children, it’s a release we weren’t sure would happen. After all, it’s a Paramount Pictures movie, which meant it headed to Paramount+ first. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is coming to Prime Video.
The movie will come out on Wednesday, Aug. 10. It’s not the only big release that day, but it is the best for the whole family.
If you’re looking for something to watch without the kids around that night, The Lost City is also heading to Prime Video. This Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum movie is a fun adventure for the summer.
A League of Their Own, Cosmic Love, and more
There are also some Amazon Original Series heading to Prime Video during the month. The biggest of these releases is A League of Their Own. Set during the Second World War, it follows a female baseball team traveling across the United States that is rapidly changing with the war at home. It’s described as a sports comedy, so you’ve got light entertainment at the end of the week.
If you’re more in the mood for a reality show, Prime Video has a new series about people looking for love. Cosmic Love offers a bit more of a twist. This is focused on astrology. Is there any truth behind sign compatibility? That’s something we’ll get to see in the new series.
Then there’s the release of Power Book III: Raising Kanan. This is coming to STARZ, available via Amazon Channels. However, with this release, some episodes in the series are going to be available via Prime Video for a short period of time.
