The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is not coming in August 2022

As much as we would love to see The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 before the end of the summer, that’s just not going to happen. The season is not on the list of arrivals on Prime Video in the coming month.

There is no doubt that we’re ready to see The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 already. The bad news is that it’s not coming out in August. We never expected that of course, but it does mean we’re probably not going to see the season at all in 2022.

After all, this is a summer-set series. It makes sense to keep it for the summer, in the way that Prime Video, Netflix, and other streamers have kept other summer-set shows. The good news is we are looking at summer 2023 as a release date.

When will The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We have a lot of great news to share in this post when it comes to the show. We already knew that The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 was happening. The series was renewed ahead of the first season even arriving on Prime Video. That’s how much of a success Prime Video thought the series was going to be, and there’s no doubt that the streamer thought right.

The show was everything we needed and more. While it didn’t have all the time to cover every single storyline from the book, it did a great job at adapting the series. This is what you get for having the book author involved heavily in the adaptation of the series.

The early renewal has meant the writers could get straight to work on the second season. That’s led to the series already being able to roll cameras on the story. Yes, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is already filming! This helps to bring the second season by summer 2023, and we’re certainly hoping for a June or July release.
