Everything coming to Freevee in August 2022: 21 Jump Street and more

With so many streaming platforms out there, it’s normal to want to watch content without paying more. Amazon has you covered with its ad-supported streamer Freevee (previously known as IMDb TV).

There is some great content arriving throughout the month of August. Some of that content is older movies and TV shows, while others are new originals that you’ll want to check out.

21 Jump Street, Hotel Transylvania 2, Sprung, and more

We have to start with one of the new Freevee Originals you’ll want to watch. Called Sprung, the series follows a convicted criminal who wants to turn his life around after more than 20 years in prison. Jack gets out early due to the pandemic, but now he has nowhere to live and the lockdown is on. So, Jack has to turn to an unlikely group of former inmates to “shelter in place” with. Can their criminal expertise help them in a good way?

For those who want a comedic movie, Channing Tatum has our back. He and Jonah Hill star in 21 Jump Street, a reboot of the original movie. They play two cops who go undercover at high school to uncover a drug ring. Of course, they get to dress up as teenagers and pretend to relive their high school years.

When it comes to keeping the kids entertained, this is certainly a streamer for you. Hotel Transylvania 2 is one of the new releases this month.

And when it comes to animation for adults, it’s all about Sausage Party. The movie drops toward the end of the month.
