Paper Girls and more streaming on Prime Video this week
A new week brings some new content to Prime Video. Paper Girls is certainly the biggest Amazon release happening this week. What else can you watch?
Paper Girls is most definitely one of the big Amazon releases you’ve been looking forward to this month. It’s finally arriving on the last Friday of July, and you can bet that it’s going to be worth the wait.
The series drops in full, and it is based on the graphic novels of the same name. Four 12-year-olds find themselves in the middle of a time war, which gets them sent to the future accidentally. Now they need to overcome their own differences to find a way to work together and get back to their own time. They’ll also need to work with their future selves, as it turns out they’re wanted by a group of people who have outlawed time travel and want the girls dead.
Hudson and Rex, Honor Society, and more
There are a lot of Amazon Channels samples available throughout the week. It’s not clear how many episodes of some shows will be available or how long the releases will be free with your Prime membership. These samples are designed to hook you in and get you to sign up to the channels afterward.
One that’s worth checking out is Hudson and Rex Season 2. The Canadian crime drama is a little like Turner and Hooch. It’s a man (Hudson) and his retired military dog (Rex) who now work together to solve crimes around Toronto. It is cute to watch, and you can know that nothing serious will happen to Rex since he is one of the titular characters.
A movie worth checking out is called Honor Society. It follows a high school senior who is focused on getting into an Ivy League college. However, to do that, she needs to get a coveted recommendation from her guidance counselor.
