What is Anything’s Possible about?

Billy Porter’s directorial debut drops on Prime Video at the end of the week. What do we know about Anything’s Possible so far?

Anything’s Possible was supposed to come to theaters. Due to the pandemic and the success of Cinderella on Prime Video, Amazon changed things. It helps that the movie was an MGM Studios production and Amazon acquired the movie studio allowing for these types of changes.

We’ll get to watch the movie at the end of this week. It’s described as a coming-of-age story, but there are some modern twists to it. It is a Gen Z story, and it’s one for all of us to check out. After all, there are a lot of students going through this type of story right now, and it’s only right they see themselves on the screen.

Anything’s Possible synopsis

The movie follows Kelsa, a teenage girl trying to navigate the world of senior year at high school. If that wasn’t tricky enough, she’s trans, and that adds another layer of complications. After all, we all know what teenagers are like, and not everyone is open-minded and accepting of people who are different from them.

She isn’t the only one with problems to face. Khal is interested in her, and he knows the type of drama that him being with her would cause. He needs to navigate that as he builds up the confidence to ask her out in the first place. What if she says no?

We get this beautiful modern-day love story. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. There are a lot of firsts, including first love and first heartbreak.
