1883: A Yellowstone Origin Story DVD release date confirmed

You’ve followed the Duttons in the current day through Yellowstone. Now it’s time to get a prequel story with 1883. It’s coming to DVD very soon.

If you haven’t watched Yellowstone yet, you’re missing out. This is one of the most underrated shows on streaming networks right now, and it should be at the top of everyone’s viewing list.

Before you do that, though, you might want to catch up on something that’s a little shorter. Why not get started with 1883, the prequel story about the Dutton family. It’s a limited series, so once you’re done with this season, you can move on to the next part of the story. There is another prequel to Yellowstone coming, but it’s not out yet.

The good news is 1883 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray very soon.

When is 1883: A Yellowstone Origin Story on DVD and Blu-ray?

The official release date for the series on DVD is Tuesday, Aug. 30. As there’s no second season, there isn’t a rush to binge you way through it. However, some things from the prequel may come up in future seasons of Yellowstone as the story has become canon.

You can currently pre-order the series via Amazon. This is a great way to land the cheapest price up to the release date. Amazon offers a price guarantee, and you only pay whatever the lowest price is up to the release date despite what you agree to pay when you pre-order.

Can’t wait for the DVD release? You can currently watch all episodes on Paramount+, which is available via Amazon Channels. We’re not sure if the show will head to Digital via Amazon Instant Video, though. Not all streaming shows will get a Digital release as it takes people away from the streaming platform, but Paramount+ does tend to release digitally eventually.
