When are new episodes of The Boys coming to Prime Video?
Last week saw the release of The Boys Season 3 finale. That means the wait is now on for the new season. How long will that wait be?
We would love nothing more than to say there’s a new episode of The Boys tonight. That’s not happening, though. The Season 3 finale aired last week, and that means we’re on hiatus. These hiatuses can be long, but we’re not expecting this one to be anywhere near as long as the last one.
The wait for Season 3 was much longer than initially expected. The pandemic delayed filming, which meant that it was harder to bring out the episodes before the end of 2021. If it was a normal year, we wouldn’t have likely seen an almost two-year wait for episodes.
What about Season 4? We at least know Season 4 is happening, but we need to know when the new episodes will come out on Prime Video.
When will The Boys Season 4 premiere on Prime Video?
We don’t have a date just yet. As we said, we’re expecting a shorter wait than the one for Season 3. We’re probably likely to see something more like the wait between Seasons 1 and 2. That wait for around 14 months, which is pretty standard for a Prime Video series. Sometimes the wait is pushed to 18 months, which is fair for some of the bigger shows.
With that in mind, we’re looking at late summer or early fall 2023 for the new season. At the most, we’re probably seeing the end of 2023 for new episodes. After all, work has already started on the show, although filming hasn’t started just yet.
The Boys Season 4 is sure to pick up off the back of the cliffhangers at the end of Season 3. We saw Maeve lose her powers, Ryan choose to be with Homelander, and Butcher learn he’s dying. How will all that affect the fight against the Supes in the new season?
