What happens when a group of paper girls get caught in the middle of a time traveler war? That’s what we get to find out in Paper Girls on Prime Video.
There are some exciting new shows coming to Prime Video this year. One of them is Paper Girls, coming to Prime Video at the end of July. The series is based on a series graphic novels of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Cliff Chiang.
The graphic novels tell an epic story through the eyes of four 12-year-old girls. The television series is set to bring all that to life. Here’s what we know about it so far.
Paper Girls release date
There isn’t too long to wait for the new series. All episodes of Paper Girls will drop on Prime Video on Friday, July 29.
As this is a global original, there’s some great news. This is likely to get a slightly earlier release in North America as the official release time is midnight GMT. With time zones working in our favor, it’s worth looking out for the series in the evening of Thursday, July 28.

There is a trailer for the series just released. It gives us a great look at the lack of bond between the four girls, along with the battle they will need to face when they find themselves in a future they never expected. They will need to rely on each other if they want to survive.
Paper Girls synopsis
Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ think that Halloween1988 is going to be just a normal day. They head out on their usual delivery routes only to end up in the middle of a time war.
They end up transported to the future, and now they need to work together to get back to their own time. That’s not all they need to do. They’ll need to survive the war, which includes the Old Watch, a group that wants to stay in power and has banned time travel to do that.
Can the 12-year-olds trust each other to survive? Will they be able to put their differences to one side, and what happens when they meet their adult selves? Now if only it could be a normal Halloween.
