Filming has finished and now eyes are on the premiere date. When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?

We found out that production on The Wheel of Time Season 2 wrapped in May. Now all eyes are on when the show will premiere. The bad news is that isn’t happening yet.

With production only just wrapping, that isn’t all too surprising. It will take a few months of editing to bring the season, but that didn’t stop us from double-checking the list of July releases to make sure. Of course, if the series was going to arrive this month, we would have had a trailer already.

When will The Wheel of Time Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We’re looking at post-production taking at least six months. We would usually say eight months, but some work on the earlier episodes could have started pretty early since filming of the second season ran straight off the back of the first season last year.

It could mean we’re looking at the release happening sometime this year. If that’s the case, we’re looking at November or December, and we’re certainly expecting a weekly release similar to the first season.

We know The Lord of the Rings and The Wheel of Time won’t air at the same time. The Lord of the Rings will premiere at the start of September and run through to the start of October. That certainly makes November or December viable for The Wheel of Time.

Things are a little quiet on what to expect for the characters. The most recent teaser for the series suggests we’re heading to somewhere in the fourth book, which certainly has us excited. We’re ready to meet the Aiel.
