At the end of The Boys Season 3, Episode 6, we had our concerns about A-Train. Did Vought manage to save him, or did we say a permanent goodbye to the Supe?

Caution: There are spoilers from The Boys Season 3, Episode 7 in this post.

We left A-Train fighting for his life. He suffered a heart attack after killing Blue Hawk, but we never did get a confirmation about what happened to him. It was clear that he wasn’t likely dead. After all, this is TV—death on a TV series has to happen on the screen and be acknowledged to actually have happened.

We got answers in the new episode. Of course, A-Train wasn’t just going to be written out with a heart attack while acting out his revenge. There was an interesting twist to saving his life.

A-Train got a heart in The Boys Season 3

A-Train’s heart had failed. He needed a new one if he was going to live, and Vought managed to find him one. It’s one that A-Train probably doesn’t want but can’t really say no to. In fact, A-Train wasn’t even asked if he’d like it since it was life-saving surgery.

Ashley, annoyed that A-Train had killed Blue Hawk, shared that A-Train was saved because of this act. Blue Hawk’s heart was the one used in the transplant.

The good thing for A-Train is that it means he can run again. He wants his brother to return to training him, giving his brother some sort of purpose again. Will A-Train’s brother even be interested in this, though? We’ll have to wait for the finale.

However, it looks like A-Train is safe for now. He does have to side with Homelander and Vought, though. If he acts out of line again, he could see himself replaced.

dark. Next. Are Homelander and Soldier Boy related?
