Will Compound-V hurt Kimiko in The Boys Season 3?
Kimiko has decided that she wants her abilities back, but Frenchie wasn’t happy about that. What is the Compound-V hurts her in The Boys? It’s a risk Kimiko is willing to take.
Caution: There are spoilers in this post for The Boys Season 3, Episode 7.
When Kimiko realized that Soldier Boy neutralized all the Compound-V in her system, she was happy. It meant she was normal and no longer a monster. Then she acted out against someone attacking her, immediately making her feel like she is a monster after all.
It wasn’t the V, which is what she always blamed her flaws on. Of course, she isn’t a monster. She was involved in a trafficking ring, so her actions aren’t all that surprising. Frenchie is there for her no matter what. However, Kimiko has decided she doesn’t want to be powerless.
The only way to get her abilities back is to take Compound-V. Annie didn’t want to get her the serum at first, but eventually agreed. Kimiko wrote her a note, and it was rather compelling. In the end, she showed the same note to Frenchie to get him on her side.
What’s happened to Kimiko in The Boys Season 3?
Kimiko makes it clear that this time using the Compound-V is her choice. This is something she wants, and she would like those around her to support her choices. Frenchie loves her, and he’s just worried that something bad will happen.
They all know that Compound-V doesn’t work on everyone. It can kill some people. And they have no idea what can happen to someone who had Compound-V in their system, lost it, and got it again. It could have killed Kimiko.
By the end of the episode, Frenchie gives Kimiko the V. We hear the sound of the V working, but that’s it. We don’t yet know what’s happened to her except that it looks like her original abilities are back, but at least it’s not an immediate death. It is possible that The Boys have their most powerful member back in the action.
