The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is definitely happening on Prime Video. The big question now is when it will arrive on the streamer.

We got the great news about The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 before the first season was released. This was great news, and it wasn’t all that unexpected. The book series is popular, and Jenny Han’s adaptations already have a huge following. The anticipation for this series was huge going into it.

The series has been worth the hype. It’s a great coming-of-age story that doesn’t offer the typical love triangle. Not only is there a focus on growing up, but there’s also a focus on death and living your best life while you can.

Now we want to see more. The ending to the first season saw Belly make her choice between the brothers, but there are certainly more stories to come for the characters.

We’re not going to see The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 in 2022, but we could see it next year. With the title and the setting, it wouldn’t be surprising if Prime Video kept this as a summer series.

It took a year from the title being announced to the seasons coming to Prime Video. This was actually a short turnaround time, and it gives us hope that the second season will take 12 to 14 months after the first season. This could mean anytime between June and August 2023. We’ll take that for a summer series!

The second season will follow the second book, which sees Susannah’s sons struggling with the upcoming loss of their mother. Belly also has to deal with the idea of summer not being as fun as it used to be with all this talk of loss.
