When is Elvis coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

The world of musical biopics is growing. After the success of the Freddie Mercury and Elton John movies, it’s time to delve into the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. It’s all about the life and career of Elvis Presley.

Austin Butler plays the title role showcasing his rise to fame throughout the 1950s. This was mixed with his complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Parker will be played by Tom Hanks.

Butler does sing throughout the movie when it comes to Presley’s earlier music. When it comes to the later performances, the two voices are blended together.

When is Elvis movie on DVD and Blu-ray?

How long will we need to wait for the Elvis movie to come to DVD and Blu-ray? It’s a Warner Bros. movie, so we’re looking at other 2022 releases to get an idea. For the sake of this post, we’re looking at The Batman and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore for an idea of release date.

Both of these movies took about two and a half months to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray. We’re looking at around the same amount of time for this latest movie. That would suggest Elvis is coming to DVD and Blu-ray around Sept. 6 or 13. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the actual release date.

As for the Digital release, this is likely to happen much sooner. Warner Bros. movies have headed to HBO Max 45 days after the theatrical release, and the Digital releases have been similar. We’re looking at around Tuesday, Aug. 2 for Elvis movie.
