The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is not coming in June 2022

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is definitely happening. The bad news is we have a wait on our hands. It’s not coming to Prime Video this month.

By now, you’ve likely binged your way through the first season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. This is just one of those shows that immediately had a loyal following. After all, the Jenny Han trilogy is too darn good not to watch the show.

Now you want more. The good news is Prime Video renewed The Summer I Turned Pretty for a second season ahead of the first season premiere. Now we just wait for the release of the season. It’s not coming this month, and that’s not all too surprising. After all, there hasn’t been time to write, produce, and edit the full season.

When will The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We’re not expecting the second season to arrive on Prime Video any time soon. It usually takes 14 months between seasons, although there are times when some shows can take 12 months. If the latter is the case for this one, we’re looking at June 2023 at the earliest.

It does make sense to keep this series as a summer show. After all, the books are set in the summer, and the word “summer” is in the title.

The second season will likely follow the second book. Belly doesn’t look forward to Cousins Beach this summer. Conrad has stopped caring and Susannah gets sick again. Belly wishes that summer would just stay away. There’s nothing to look forward to.

That is until Jeremiah calls with news. Conrad has gone missing, and he needs Belly’s help to find his brother. Belly needs to do what she can to make things right between her and the brothers, and the only way to do that is by all three of them heading to the beach house again. They need to end their summers where they started them: at Cousins Beach.
