It follows a teenage girl, Belly, who finds herself in love with two boys. The problem is these boys are brothers, and now she has to make a choice.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is the first book in the “Summer” series by Jenny Han. There are three books in total, which suggests Amazon will eventually bring us three seasons of the series. Prime Video is pretty good at ending a show before dragging it on—although there have been some early renewals we’re still salty about.
The second book is called It’s Not Summer Without You. This one sees Belly dreading the idea of summer coming up. Things just didn’t work out last summer, and now she has to face the consequences of all that. However, when Jeremiah calls to say Conrad has disappeared, Belly realizes she needs to head back to Cousins Beach. She needs to face the boys, and she needs to face summer.
The third book is called We’ll Always Have Summer. This one picks up two years after the second book in the series. Without giving too many spoilers, she’s heading to college with the boy of her choice. However, the relationship may not be the happily ever after Belly thought it would be, and now she has to question whether it was true love after all. Did she make the wrong choice?
