Everything changes when you spend time away from your family. That’s what Justin learns in The Lake, coming to Prime Video tonight.
When we’re young, we want to get away. As we get older, we realize that it’s time to return home, and that means we want the memories of the past to be real today. Justin realizes that things have completely changed when he returns home after years abroad.
The Lake Season 1 is coming to Prime Video tonight. This is a global original, which means the release time is officially set for midnight GMT. However, we know that global originals work in our favor because of time zones.
There is a good chance that the episodes will be available to stream at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT tonight, Thursday, June 16. There’s no guarantee of this, but it happens way more than it doesn’t. Just recently, we’re seeing it happen with The Boys.
What is The Lake about?
The series follows Justin, who returns home after years abroad. His long-term relationship has broken down, and he wants to make up for the time he’s been away. That includes finding his biological daughter who he gave up for adoption when he was a teenager.
He wants to show this city-loving girl what life can be like. It’s time to take a trip to his family cabin, but it turns out that everything has changed. His late father left the cabin to his “perfect” step-sister, and suddenly nothing is as he remembers it.
The two stepsiblings will need to find a way to get along. Meanwhile, Justin’s daughter may just find that the city life isn’t everything. Just how much trouble is she going to get in?
