When is Top Gun: Maverick coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s the release we’ve all been waiting for. Tom Cruise is back with another Top Gun movie, and it does not disappoint. Now you want to add it to your DVD and Blu-ray collection.
For those who haven’t seen it in theaters yet, it’s worth the trip. Set more than 30 years after the original movie, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is back and is now training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment. He’ll need to face the ghosts of his own past to help the new recruits live up to their potential.
Top Gun: Maverick DVD and Blu-ray release date predictions
We don’t yet have a set DVD and Blu-ray release date. That’s not surprising considering the movie only hit theaters at the end of May. We need to look at movies from the same production studio to get an idea of the release date.
Top Gun: Maverick is a Paramount Pictures movie. We’re looking at Scream and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as other movies. It took less than three months for Scream to go from theaters to DVD, but it’s going to take four months for Sonic 2.
We’re probably going to see something similar to Sonic 2. After all, the new Top Gun movie is performing well in theaters so far. With that in mind, we’re looking at September 2022 as a release month. If we had to predict an actual date, we’d say around Tuesday, Sept. 27.
The Digital release is likely to happen much sooner. Paramount Pictures movies are heading to streaming pretty quickly, and that also means the Digital release is happening fast. It took six weeks for Sonic 2 to head to Digital, so we’re looking at around Tuesday, July 12 for Top Gun: Maverick.
