The last day of May brings us some exciting DVD and Blu-ray releases. The first two seasons of The Boys should definitely be on your list to buy.

When it comes to Amazon Originals, we’re not used to seeing them come to DVD and Blu-ray. Every now and then a movie gets a DVD release, but not a TV series. That changes this week with the release of The Boys Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and Blu-ray.

Both seasons are coming as a boxset. It’s just in time for the third season to premiere on Prime Video at the end of the week. Why would Amazon release this series? It’s one of the biggest on Prime Video. It likely shows the hope that Amazon has to bring in more viewers, and will also likely be linked to showrunner Eric Kripke having some great ideas for the release of the series up to this point.

Lucifer and Why Women Kill on the list of DVD and Blu-ray releases

There are a couple of other notable releases happening this week. One of those is Lucifer Season 5. This is the penultimate season of the Netflix series, and it’s been a long wait. Actually, it’s been more than a year since the series arrived on Netflix. This long delay isn’t surprising, but neither is the eventual DVD release. It gives us an idea that the sixth season will come on DVD and Blu-ray next year.

Why Women Kill Season 2 is another big release. This season doesn’t quite follow the same format of the first. It’s all set in one time period instead of following three women in different time periods in the same house. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worth buying.
