Firestarter is now available to watch in theaters. It’s also already available to stream online, but is that on Amazon Prime Video?

There is no doubt that we’re ready for the rebooted version of Firestarter. Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the movie follows a young girl who has the ability to start fires with her mind. Of course, people are after her, and that means she and her family need to go on the run.

The movie, starring Zac Efron, is now available to watch in theaters. It’s also one of those movies that has come straight out on streaming. The question for many is where that streaming home is.

Firestarter is not on Prime Video

There is some bad news for those who have been hoping to watch it on Prime Video. Firestarter is not available with your Prime membership, and that’s the way it will be for a while.

The movie is available to stream on Peacock. This is not one of the Prime Channels, and it doesn’t look like NBC will make a deal with Amazon to bring it to Prime Channels.

Of course, the movie isn’t necessarily always going to be on Peacock. This is just the recent deal. There’s a chance it will come to Prime Video in the future.

Firestarter will likely come to Amazon Video

While it isn’t available on Prime Video, there is a chance that it will come to Amazon Instant Video. It is out in theaters, after all. We usually see theatrical releases head to Digital, even when they did go straight to streaming during the pandemic.

It’s not clear how long it will take, but we’re looking at somewhere between six weeks and three months. It’s going to depend on the type of deal made between Universal Pictures and Peacock.
