Outer Range Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2022

Does anyone else feel like they got more questions than answers in the Outer Range Season 1 finale? When will Outer Range Season 2 come to Prime Video?

We are certainly used to season finales leaving us with a few questions. These questions are needed to make us feel invested in another season. We want to tune in right away to get answers.

However, Outer Range‘s finale seemed to leave us with far more questions than it did answers. There are still so many mysteries to solve, and right now we don’t know when—or even if—we’ll get answers.

Outer Range Season 2 is not on the list of release on Prime Video in May 2022. That’s not all too surprising, but it doesn’t stop the frustration.

When is Outer Range Season 2 coming to Prime Video?

Eyes are now on when we’ll get the answers. However, eyes should be on if we’ll get the answers. We just don’t know that yet.

Prime Video has not yet renewed the series. It’s not canceled it, either, so that’s a good sign. Prime Video has only just renewed Upload for a third season, and that show dropped in March. We’re potentially waiting a little longer to get a decision about this twisty sci-fi series.

If it is renewed, we’re not looking at it arriving in 2022. It usually takes about 14 months between seasons for Prime Video shows—we’re not counting the last couple of years due to the pandemic delays. This would suggest that we’re looking at June or July 2023 for a second season.

We’re also likely to see the show released in a similar format. The two episodes per week format seemed to work well for this series. Another option is to do the more traditional hybrid model of three episodes at once and then one episode per week. A show like this needs the breaks between episodes for the water cooler chat.
