Bosch: Legacy Season 1 premieres on Freevee tonight

Are you ready to delve back into the world of Harry Bosch? Of course you are. The first episodes of Bosch: Legacy are on Freevee tonight.

When we learned that Bosch Season 7 would be the last, we were very disappointed. Then we learned that it wouldn’t be the end for the character. Titus Welliver would return to our screens as Harry Bosch in a spin-off series.

That spin-off series is Bosch: Legacy, which also focuses on Harry’s daughter as a rookie cop. The first four episodes of the series will drop on Freevee (formally IMDb TV) tonight. The episodes are likely to drop at midnight on Friday, May 6. However, there is a chance that it will work similarly to Prime Video releases.

Prime Video releases that are global drop at midnight GMT, and that means in North America we get the episodes at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT the day before. We could see that happen here, but it’s hard to say as Freevee is a separate streaming platform.

What is Bosch: Legacy about?

The spin-off series will follow Harry Bosch off the back of the decisions made at the end of Bosch Season 7. He left the LAPD, and now he’s ready to start a career as a private investigator. Like the main series, this will follow some of the books, but there are some changes. We won’t get to see certain characters due to how the licensing rights have worked.

Bosch will be joined by his daughter, Maddie. She is a rookie cop, trying to follow in both her parents’ footsteps. They are big shoes to fill, but she is willing to put in the work. This should also mean some interactions with other characters from the original series.

We’ll also see Bosch work with Honey Chandler. After all, he needs someone who can help him when it comes to the legal elements of the cases. Bosch just wants to get the bad guys put away.
