We haven’t even got to see the first episode of Bosch: Legacy, and we already have some great news. Freevee has already renewed it for Season 2.

We knew that Bosch: Legacy was going to be worth the watch. After all, it comes from the team behind Bosch, which we adored for seven seasons. There was no way we weren’t going to watch the spin-off, especially with it coming to Freevee.

We still need to wait for the first episode to drop on Freevee, but we already have some great news about it. Bosch: Legacy Season 2 is officially happening.

Bosch: Legacy is renewed for Season 2

The first episodes of the series will drop on Friday, May 6. That is this week, but Freevee already knows what it wants to do with the series. Deadline reports that it’s been renewed for a second season ahead of the premiere.

This is a series franchise with a strong and loyal audience already. It helps that the spin-off includes Titus Welliver’s character, helping to not really feel that much of a change to the original series. It then gets to grow other characters that we’ve come to know in the original series while also adding new ones. It’s really going to feel more like a continuation than a new series altogether.

Of course, Amazon (which owns Freevee) was going to feel confident in the series right away. There is even talk of bringing another Bosch spin-off. We’ll have to see how Amazon can work that considering Netflix has the rights to Michael Connelly’s other popular franchise The Lincoln Lawyer, which is also going to drop in May.

We’re just excited to see that the Bosch franchise hasn’t come to an end, and it’s not going to end just yet.
