Invincible Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2022

When it comes to adult animation, Prime Video pulled us in immediately with Invincible. Now we continue to wait for Invincible Season 2.

There’s no doubt that we’d love to jump back into the world of Mark Grayson. The list of Prime Video releases in May is out, and we have some bad news. Invincible Season 2 is not going to arrive just yet.

We didn’t expect to see the series on the list, though. There has been a lot of bad news about the series lately in terms of the production process. However, there is some great news now. It doesn’t mean a release date, but it gives us hope that the season will arrive soon.

When is Invincible Season 2 coming to Prime Video?

The bad news is that production isn’t over just yet. Over the last few months, we’d learned that the actors hadn’t gone back into the recording studio yet. Of course, this doesn’t mean the animation work isn’t happening, but the voice recording is necessary to bring us the completed project.

Some good news arrived this month. Steven Yeun is back in the recording studio. We got that update via a clip on the show’s Twitter, which had Yeun putting his headphones on to get ready to record some of the scenes.

We have no idea just how much of the animation is complete. Animation can take months to do, and it is part of the reason for the long wait for the new season. We can’t yet say if there is a chance that we’ll see the new season in 2022, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on things as the show’s Twitter promotes everything that it can.

The show’s Twitter is certainly something to follow. There are a lot of jokes made, including the prediction of when Mark will finally win a fight.
