Is Heartstopper on Amazon?

Charlie and Nick realize that their friendship may be something more in the new series Heartstopper. Can you stream the series on Prime Video?

If you loved the novel of the same name by Alice Oseman, you’ll be excited to hear that Heartstopper is now a TV series. Fans get the chance to see Nick and Charlie navigate their friendship that becomes much more.

While they try to figure out their relationship, they also have to manage their lives as teenagers. They navigate school, families, and more, which takes us on a journey of highs and lows. So, where are you going to watch it?

Heartstopper is not coming to Prime Video

We start with some bad news. Heartstopper is not going to be available to stream on Prime Video.

This is a Netflix Original Series. There’s no need for Netflix to send its content to Prime Video. In fact, with the way things are going right now, it’s not going to want to send its content to another streaming platform. This is a streamer that needs to figure out how to not lose subscribers—hey, Netflix, it’s not going to be by charging more for sharing accounts.

Of course, we don’t say “never” here. If Netflix struggles financially, it may need to join with another streamer. This could be Prime Video.

Heartstopper probably won’t be on Amazon Video

What about a Digital release? TV shows that get released on Digital head to Amazon Instant Video. This probably isn’t going to happen for this series.

Netflix shows don’t tend to come to Digital. It doesn’t make sense for the streaming platform to release content on Digital. This encourages people to pay once for content and then watch it whenever they want. It takes subscribers away from the platform.

Likewise, we probably won’t see it come to DVD and Blu-ray. There have been shows that got a DVD release date, but this is usually due to the production studio or because the shows were originally on broadcast before being saved by a streamer.

Heartstopper is available to stream on Netflix.
